Candles are made with US grown -additive free - biodegradable soy wax, phthalate-free essential oil based fragrance blends, and metal/lead-free cotton wicks. Meaning, they will not release pollutants, carcinogens, or other toxins into the air. Eco friendly (& cruelty free) candles are better for you, your home, & the environment.
Please use the guide below to ensure you get the most out of your new candles!
1. Consider Room Size
Some people prefer just a hint of scent within a room while others desire a very strong aroma. Consider room size when choosing candles. Two candles are suggested for most large living spaces, while some small rooms may only require one.
2. Let It Burn
The first time you light your candle, it is crucial that you allow it to FULLY melt from edge to edge before extinguishing. If you cannot dedicate the time to this first memory burn, please be patient and wait to light your candle, otherwise you may be left with a constant buildup of wax along the sides of your candle jar (tunneling) !
* Note that candles should not be left to burn longer than 4 hours *
3. Trim Your Wick
Before you relight your candle, note the appearance of the wick. If it looks like a mushroom (a clumpy ball-like figure at the top) take a wick trimmer (a pair of scissors or your fingers) to trim that away. This will ensure cleaner burns, reduce smoke, and help to make your candle lasts as long as possible & not burn through the wax as quickly.
4. Let It Sit
Do not attempt to touch or move candles while they are lit & if not using a snuffer, be mindful of the surrounding area when blowing out the flame. Especially as the candle burns down to the bottom of the jar. You never want to risk dropping, spilling, or breaking your candle.
Once you’ve depleted your candle of its wax, you can clean out the jar using hot water & soap to then use the container for storage or display. Candle jars make wonderful homes for dried herbs, crystals, makeup brushes, art supplies, and much more!
If you have any questions, never hesitate to send an email! These are small batch goods, made solely by me, in my home, using all natural materials, so they may sometimes appear "imperfect". Additive-free soy wax will appear cracked & crystallized after solidifying, but this is simply proof that the wax has not been tampered with.
